Vancouver Metro Basketball League

Great weekend out at the Olympic Oval where we saw dozens of the Vancouver Metro Basketball League players step up to some great competition.  Congrats to Igor and TEAM SERBIA on winning the championship title!

Victory Sport produced the 2nd Annual West Coast Basketball Classic at the Olympic Oval in Richmond, British Columbia. There we some sick plays, high flyers, killer crossovers and an incredible 1st Annual Slam Dunk Contest. Presented by FIRSTAR Sports and sponsored by Vitamin Water and yours truly. While we have a ways go (and some ridiculous plans for the 2011 event) we picked up our game a bit this year to include Wheelchair Basketball, Youth and an increased numbers of teams in the top-flight Mens Division. Thanks also to everyone in the league that came out and participated in this charity initiative throughout the season.  It’s important to us that, as a league, we have a heart for community/charity and the entire Vancouver Metro League did an amazing job rounding up their kicks at home and donating to folks that need them more than we do.
